The Filmmaker
Brandon's most recent film is Whispers of Freedom (2025), a Cold War biographical short which he wrote, directed and produced. The film tells the tragic true story of Chris Gueffroy — one of the last people to attempt an escape over the Berlin Wall.
The cast features Christopher Eccleston (28 Days Later), Paul Freeman (Raiders of the Lost Ark), Wendy Makkena (Sister Act), Darragh Cowley (Masters of the Air), Thomas W. Gabrielsson (The Promised Land), and Cameron Ashplant (The Last Bus). It was produced by Academy Award® nominee Jonathan Tammuz.
After a year on the international festival circuit — with screenings across the UK, Asia, Europe, and North America — Whispers of Freedom picked up awards and was nominated for more, including at the Canadian Screen Award-qualifying Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival. It made history as the first Guernsey-made film to qualify for the British Independent Film Awards (BIFAs), and was subsequently shortlisted for the 2025 BIFAs in the Best British Short Film category.
Prior to that, Brandon wrote and directed the drama short Bet Your Bottom Dollar (2023), starring César Award nominee Marc Duret (La Haine) and Paterson Joseph (Wonka), alongside local Guernsey actors. The film won several awards, including at the Budapest Film Festival.

Lights, camera, action. We shoot with a lean, skilled crew to capture the story with clarity and craft.
Editing, colour grade, sound design. We refine until it's right — then deliver a film you're proud of.
